Students Activities
Attendance in Classes :
Students are required to attend at least 75% of classes held in
each subject. Students whose attendance in each subject is less than 75% but 60%
or above will be declared as non-collegiate. Students attending less than 60% of
the classes held are disqualified to appear in the Council’s/University’s
Examination.
EXAMINATIONS :
As a part of continuous evaluation process the college conducts
Class Test, Unit Test, Terminal and Test Examinations regularly besides the
Council and University Examination.
SCHOLARSHIP :
a) Students are awarded both merit and other scholarships as provided by the
State Govt./Central Govt. Besides, the college provides free studentship to the
brilliant students.
b) Following scholarships are also awarded to students or outstanding
performance.
i) C.K.B. Commerce College Teachers’ Inspiration Scholarship.
ii) Students Competitive scholarship from Students Union Fund.
iii) Prof. B.C. Saikia Inspiration scholarship to CKBian securing First
class in B.Com. Final Examination (major in Accountancy) and to CKBian securing
highest marks (above 80%) in BKA in H.S. Final Examination.
Student Aid Fund :
Financial assistance in the form of free studentship is provided to the
poor and deserving students from the Students Aid Fund.
IDENTITY CARD :
An Identity card is issued to every student to be possessed by him / her
during the college hours.
UNIFORM FOR STUDENTS :
Students are required to attend college in ‘UNIFORM’
Boys: White Shirt and Black pant.
Girls: White Mekhela Chaddar with Pink border and Pink blouse
or
White Salwar Kurta with pink dupatta.
STUDENTS’ EXTRA CURRICULAR ACTIVITIES :
The College provides facilities for indoor & outdoor games for both
Boys & Girls. Willing and deserving students can join the National Cadet Corps (N.C.C.),
National Service Scheme (N.S.S.) and Bharat Scouts & Guides.
CAREER COUNSELLING :
A Committee of teachers headed by the Principal is involved in
constant monitoring of students academic interest and in helping them to opt for
a career that suits their needs, interest and aptitudes. To develop the
personalities of the students; programmes like quiz, debating, eloquence,
seminars, group discussions, lectures etc. are organised among the students from
time to time
