(a) CORE SUBJECTS (COMPULSORY)
            i) English
            ii) M.I.L. (Assamese, Bengali, Hindi, Alt. English)
            iii) Business Studies
            iv) Accountancy

(b) OPTIONAL ELECTIVE SUBJECTS (Any one must be chosen)
            (i) Economics
            (ii) Salesmanship & Advertising
            (iii) Insurance
            (iv) Banking
            (v) Computer Science & Applications
            (vi) Mathematics

(c) OPTIONAL ELECTIVE SUBJECTS (Any one)
            (i) Commercial Arithmetic & Elements of Statistics
            (ii) Mathematics
            (iii) Computer Science & Applications

NOTE:

(i) Syllabi for Statistics, Economics, Mathematics and Computer Science & Applications of Commerce Stream are same as those of Science and Arts stream.
(ii) A student offering Computer Science and Applications as an Elective Subject in Commerce Stream shall have to offer Mathematics.
(iii) It is desired that students of all streams shall choose their elective subjects keeping in view their future course of higher study in general & other professional courses.
 

PATTERN OF EXAMINATION:

Higher Secondary 1st Year and 2nd Year Final Examinations are conducted by the Assam Higher Secondary Education Council on the basis of the distribution of marks as follows :

(a) Core Subjects 4 Papers = 400 Marks
(b) Elective 1 1 Paper = 100 Marks
(c) Elective 2(Optional) 1 Paper = 100 Marks

Each Paper carries 100 Marks and the same pattern is valid for 1st & 2nd year examinations.

 

THREE YEAR DEGREE COURSE IN COMMERCE  under Dibrugarh University:

Degree of Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com) shall be of three years duration which shall consist of three parts; Part-I for the 1st year, Part-II for the 2nd year & Part-III for the 3rd year.

U.G.C. Sponsored Career Oriented diploma Courses :

        The College provides facilities of some job oriented add-on courses in professional management.

       Courses are:

            i) Accounting & Tax practices.

            ii) Computer Applications

            iii) Marketing & Sales Management.

            Eligibility-Passed 10+2 or Equivalent.

Certificate Course in Computing :

        The College also provides a certificate course in Computer basics

        Eligibility- Passed H.S.L.C. or Equivalent

        (Both the courses are open for outsiders also)
